SUMMARY:HURRAY FOR THE RIFF RAFF with Free Range at the Ross Farm June 20
DESCRIPTION:HURRAY FOR THE RIFF RAFF\, the musical project of songwriter Alynda Segarra\, brings their acclaimed live performance to the Ross Farm for a special outdoor concert on Saturday\, June 20. \nBorn in the Bronx and later based in New Orleans\, Segarra has become one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary folk and Americana. Their work blends elements of folk\, indie rock\, and roots music with deeply personal songwriting and expansive storytelling. \nHURRAY FOR THE RIFF RAFF’s latest release\, The Past Is Still Alive\, has been widely praised as a powerful and singular work\, exploring themes of identity\, memory\, loss\, and survival. The album reflects Segarra’s evolution as an artist and continues to expand their influence within modern American music. \nOpening the evening is Free Range\, the project of Chicago-based singer-songwriter Sofia Jensen\, whose introspective folk-rock blends raw lyricism with a quietly powerful emotional pull. Writing with striking honesty and a sense of intimate storytelling\, Jensen creates songs that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant. Performing solo in this special opening set\, Jensen brings the heart of Free Range’s music to the stage in its most direct and compelling form – just voice\, guitar\, and the stories that connect us. \n\n \nThis performance will take place outdoors on the historic grounds of the Ross Farm in Basking Ridge\, NJ. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Picnics and outside food are permitted; please carry in and carry out all items. Free on-site parking is available. This event will be held rain or shine. All ticket sales are final. \nHURRAY FOR THE RIFF RAFF: https://hurrayfortheriffraff.com\nFREE RANGE: https://freerangesongs.com \n\n
